The Mortuaries and Funeral Facilities Agency, MoFFA has formally issued provisional licenses to two facilities to operate in the Greater Accra Region. This is the first time a license has been issued to any facility in the death care industry in Ghana. he licenses were delivered by the new registrar of the Agency, Francis Ennin and his team. The first licenses were issued to Lashibi Funeral Home and Crematorium, located at Lashibi in the Tema West Municipality. The second licenses were issued to Enterprise Funeral Home Ghana Limited, Transitions place located at Haatso in the Ga East District of Greater Accra Region. Speaking at the separate ceremonies to deliver the licenses to the facilities after a successful inspection was conducted on the facilities, the Registrar reiterated the commitment of the Agency in preventing Public Health incidences in the death care industry. He urged the facilities to ensure the highest standards of practice and service delivery in the country. He again stated that the agency will continue to inspect the rest of the facilities and issue licenses to those that are successful in the entire country.
